Add cards to your collection

Three ways in: scan with a camera, type an exact printing, or search the catalogue by name.

Pick the method that matches the pile in front of you

Scanning lives on Scan Cards; the other two live on Look Up Card, the next tab over. All three end the same way: you confirm a printing and it lands in your collection. Which one is fastest depends on what you're holding.

The scan queue persists in the browser across refreshes, so you can photograph a whole stack first and review the matches in any order. Each card is saved as you confirm it and leaves the queue.

Scan a stack with the camera

  1. Open Scan Cards and allow camera access.
  2. Point the camera at a card and hold it steady in the frame.

The server reads the title and falls back to matching the artwork itself, so a photo with glare can still find its card.

  3. Pick the right match from the ranked results.

Results are ordered by confidence, so check the set symbol if two printings look alike.

  4. Set condition, finish and quantity, then confirm.

Type an exact printing

  1. Open Look Up Card.
  2. Enter the set code and collector number from the card's bottom border.

This is the one method with no ambiguity at all: it names exactly one printing.

  3. Fill in condition and finish, then confirm.

Search the catalogue by name

  1. Open Look Up Card and search by card name.
  2. Browse the printings and choose the one you own.
  3. Fill in the details and confirm.

Scanning is usually the fastest way to add a lot of cards. For a single card you already know the set of, manual lookup beats it.
