Message your friends

Direct messages and group conversations, in the corner dock or on the full Messages page.

Start a conversation

1. Open Messages and compose a new conversation.
2. Pick who: one friend for a DM, several for a group.

   The list you pick from is your friends; adding someone starts on the Friends page.

3. Send. Each conversation has its own link, so the back button walks through threads the way you'd expect.

Two places, one inbox

The dock in the bottom-right corner keeps conversations one click away while you work on something else; the Messages page is the full two-pane view. Unread counts follow you either way, and you'll see when the other side is typing.

The app can also raise browser notifications for new messages. It asks for permission first, and the choice is yours.
