Record where your cards live
Give each copy a storage location so you can find the cardboard without emptying every box.
Why bother
Knowing you own a card and knowing where it physically is are different problems, and the second one gets worse as a collection grows. A storage location is a free-text note of where a copy actually sits: a binder name, a box label, a sleeve number.
It is purely a record. Setting a location never changes what you own, what's available for decks, or any loan.
Assign a location
- Open any card to its detail view.
- Expand the Storage Locations section.
- Type a location name and a count, then press Add.
One card can be split across several locations: two in a binder, one in a deck box.
- Repeat for the other copies, or leave the rest unassigned.
If you'd rather have a binder you can turn
Tomes are the other half of this. A tome is a virtual nine-pocket binder where each pocket holds exactly one physical copy, so it answers "where is my cardboard" the way the binder on your shelf does. The card detail's Location section shows which tome and page each copy sits in, with a link straight to it.
Tomes live in the Tomes tab of your collection and are private to you; friends browsing your collection never see them.
A location is just text, so it's worth picking a naming scheme early and sticking to it. "Binder 2 / page 4" is easier to filter on later than "the blue one".
